Apne TV Movies and Movie Review for August 16 1947

The film August 16 1947 was directed by Christo Tomy and produced by Shaji Kailas. Mammootty, Nedumudi Venu, and Sreenivasan star in the film, along with Rehman, T. G. Ravi, and Lalu Alex. Indian independence struggle was depicted in the movie, which was released in 2011.

In a nutshell:

In the movie, most of the action takes place during the turbulent times leading up to India’s independence from British rule. The story takes place in a small village in Kerala, where Mammooty plays the role of a freedom fighter named Muhammad Haji, who is battling for freedom in the village. There is no doubt that he is a man of strong convictions who is determined to free his country from its colonial ties.

As you may have guessed from the title of the movie, the plot revolves around the events that take place on August 16, 1947, the day India gained its independence from British rule. Throughout the movie, the viewer is able to follow the lives of the villagers as they prepare for the celebrations, as well as witness the aftermath of the violence that took place during the freedom struggle. It is Muhammad Haji who leads the celebrations in the village, but he is far from the celebrations since he is aware of the sacrifices made by his fellow freedom fighters who have given their lives to fight for the cause.

The characters are:

It is Mammootty’s portrayal of Muhammad Haji in this film that is outstanding, and he brings out the character’s emotions with depth and intensity in his performance. Venu plays the role of a village elder who is considered to be a respected member of the community, and his performance is impressive. There is a touch of humor in the movie since Sreenivasan plays the role of a journalist who is passionate about the cause of independence and adds a touch of humor to the otherwise serious narrative. Also, the supporting cast of the movie does a very good job portraying their respective characters in the film.

In this review:

This is an excellent example of an apne television movie that captures the essence of India’s struggle for independence in the film “August 16, 1947”. There is a lot of beauty in the way that the film is shot, and the director accomplishes a fantastic job of recreating the period of time in which the film is set. The music and background score of the movie are also noteworthy, and they add to the overall impact of the movie by adding to its overall style.

I think the message of the movie is also very relevant since it highlights the importance of the freedom struggle and the sacrifices that had to be made by the freedom fighters. In this movie, we are shown the harsh reality of the freedom struggle and the bloodshed that was occurring as a result of those struggles. There is also a scene in the movie when it depicts the celebration of the independence of India that was hard-fought, as well as the emotions that were felt during that celebration.
